We previously posted that visitors will be required to test negative for Covid-19 prior to visiting (test and results within 24 hours prior to visit) any resident/patient at Andrus on Hudson --and any nursing facility in NY-- per new NY Department of Health rules/regulations.
We just received updated guidance that this new rule/regulation is not yet effective due to a variety of issues including scarcity of testing resources for Covid-19 and because the new rule/regulation is conflicting with federal guidelines and regulations for visitor testing.
The testing requirement is not in effect tomorrow and we will keep you updated if this changes and will provide more information at that point.
