We have been actively monitoring any developments regarding coronavirus COVID-19 "CVD-19, particularly cases in Westchester county and surrounding areas.
Out of an abundance of caution --over the coming days we will begin an enhancement of our screening of visitors and staff and implementing enhanced preparation protocols. An example of this: screening based questions from a designated staff member in the main lobby to visitors about any symptoms the visitor may be experiencing, recent travel and other related questions. These questions/screening may cause some people to feel that this is intrusive but please understand that the our priority is to protect the residents, patients and staff.
Some people may also feel anxiety about this enhanced screening and that is normal--we are working hard to ensure we are prepared for a possible escalation of CVD-19 in the greater community by implementing protocols and processes based on facts, guidance and our belief that acting out of an abundance of caution when necessary and appropriate-- is the best approach to this outbreak.
In addition, we are going to be implementing restrictions with residents and patients on visitations in the evening and night times-- more information regarding this will be communicated soon. There may be a need to further restrict visitation based on the evolving situation/cases in the greater community- this too, will be communicated.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation and understand as we work hard to protect our residents, patients and staff.
