March 25th: Update/ Information
Edited 3/26/2020 for clarification purposes.
A number of our partner hospitals who have treated patients for COVID-19 infection have asked us to admit patients after their (patient) infection has resolved so they can free up beds to care for new patients in need of hospital care.
We would like to do what we can to help fellow mission-driven hospitals make their finite beds and resources available to treat those newly infected truly in need of hospital care.
However, we will not admit any patients, from the hospital or the community, if previously treated for or diagnosed with COVID-19 - unless we have medical confirmation that they are medically stable per New York Department of Health directives.
We will continue actively monitoring both staff and residents for symptoms and to continue all other practices including implemented methods out of an abundance of caution.
