A short-time ago, a contractor doing a repair for the water utility/company damaged our main water line. As a result, we have lost water supply to the main building.
The water company is on-site assessing the damage and beginning to make repairs.
Right now we have been told that the outage could be up to 2 hours but we are preparing for a longer outage, out of an abundance of caution.
In response to this water emergency we have activated our emergency water protocols:
Emergency drinking water and water for care are being distributed to all areas of the building to ensure continuity of supply.
We have a large amount of emergency water on-hand and we have also informed our off-site water tanker supplier to be ready in the event this is a prolonged outage.
Infection control protocols (specific to a loss of water scenario) are in effect
Food services will be utilizing paper supplies for dining until water service is resumed.
We have reported the incident to the NY Department of Health per our protocols.
We will continue to keep you updated.
